Under the immediate supervision of the Laboratory Manager, and in conjunction with the Laboratory Director, supervises and coordinates laboratory activities. This includes but is not limited to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, regulatory compliance, point-of-care testing, support laboratory staff with duties, and support laboratory manager responsibilities when laboratory manager is unavailable.
Qualification Standards: Graduate of Medical laboratory Technologist program (BS) and ASCP Certified or eligible; or certified as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist by the Department of Health and Human Services; or
Associate Degree, four years of laboratory experience and certified by accrediting agency as Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of supervisory experience.
Duties include proficiency in all areas of laboratory including Blood Bank and Microbiology experience required.
