The Embryologist will support the safe, effective, and high-quality delivery of laboratory services within the BFC Lab Department. The role involves undertaking andrology and embryology procedures, maintaining strict quality and regulatory standards, supporting laboratory operations, and contributing to patient care and communication.
Requirements
Essential
Degree in Embryology, Biomedical Science, Biological Sciences, or related field. Minimum of 8 years’ experience working in an IVF, fertility, or clinical laboratory. Proven experience in andrology procedures and embryology techniques. Strong knowledge of laboratory quality standards, SOPs, and regulatory compliance. Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills. Competent IT skills and experience using laboratory systems. Willingness to work flexibly, including participation in weekend rotas. Desirable
Extensive experience in advanced embryology procedures (e.g. ICSI, embryo culture and grading, vitrification, blastocyst culture, PGT). Experience working in a regulated or accredited laboratory environment. Familiarity with BBS or similar laboratory management systems.
