We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Supervisor to lead daily operations of our clinical laboratory. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, timely, and compliant laboratory services while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring appropriate staffing, efficient workflow, and timely turnaround of test results
Provide leadership and supervision to laboratory personnel, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and performance management
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards (CLIA, CAP, OSHA), maintaining continuous inspection readiness
Develop, implement, and maintain laboratory policies and procedures, including quality control, quality assurance, safety, and document management
Monitor laboratory testing systems to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability; investigate issues and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed
Coordinate and oversee proficiency testing programs, including evaluation of results and documentation of corrective actions
Maintain laboratory records and reports related to quality metrics, competency assessments, equipment maintenance, and operational performance
Manage laboratory inventory, supplies, and equipment, including vendor relationships and service agreements
Promote a culture of safety by investigating incidents, implementing improvements, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, infection prevention, and other stakeholders to support quality patient care and provide testing consultation
Serve as a technical resource by troubleshooting instrumentation, methodologies, and workflows; perform bench testing as needed
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including method validation/verification and implementation of new technologies

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution. Applicants with international degrees must submit official documentation verifying the U.S. equivalency of their academic credentials to satisfy the educational requirements
Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT, AAB)
3+ years of experience as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist
In-depth knowledge of laboratory operations, including laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment
Knowledge of CLIA regulations and experience serving as a technical supervisor
Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance principles and procedures, including proficiency testing and instrument maintenance
Knowledge of Lean principles, practices and proven ability to utilize Lean tools to improve operational efficiency.
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment, handle multiple tasks and priorities, and meet deadlines
Proven ability to perform laboratory tests and procedures, including standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds
Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to supervise, train, and mentor laboratory staff
Preferred Qualification:
1+ years of laboratory leadership
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
